I am an Auld Wummin. I cannot be called a “menstruator” because that stopped years ago, I cannot be called a “cervix haver ” because I had cervical cancer and had surgery, therefore I cannot be called anything other than what I am.
So what am I?
I am an adult female person ,which is dictionary defined as woman.
I am an Auld Wummin but nevertheless still a Wummin.
What defines my sex?
Quite simply, my sex hormones, my chromosomes and my life experience.
Oh and a vagina amongst other reproductive bits and bobs.
In my opinion the sexes are as follows
Men are Men.
Women are Woman.
Transwomen are Transwomen.
Transmen are Transmen.
Everything else is just posturing
The brain is a magnificent organ, it has the ability to imagine a eternity of worlds and experiences . However, because of this ability it cannot be used to define you as any particular type of person. We can imagine ourselves living on desert islands, being opera singers, car mechanics, nurses ; we can create extraordinary landscapes to inhabit in our minds, we can develop scenarios which cannot ever exist in our known world. The brain is a cosmos overflowing with fact and fiction, with fantasy and reality and is, in its essence, both fluid and mobile. It is the organ in which ideas exist. It is the organ which can imagine. And where the concept of gender and gender stereotyping reside.
Moreover it is an organ which exists in both men and women , as does the liver, kidneys , heart, spleen etc.
So biologically if we share all of these things what is it that differenciates us?
What is the area in which men and women are fundamentally different?
In simple, straightforward, immutable , biological terms it is your reproductive system which determines your sex. Not your brain, not your feelings just simply whether you have a penis, scrotum and prostate or whether you have a vagina, cervix, and womb.
Now, all of these organs are of immense importance for, without them we would not be able to continue the human race.
Therefore put very simply, humanity rests in the womb of women and funnily enough that is why we are called womb-men.
Now, try as they might no Transwoman yet has been able to carry a child as they do not , yet, have wombs. That is why I say a Transwoman is a Transwoman. But , and it is a big but, most women I know will be of the opinion that any man , or woman, who undergoes such radical surgery and hormone treatment to change their outward sexual appearance to fall into line with their inward gender belief, is more than entitled to the same platforms as their biological brothers and sisters.
Transwomen, however, who retain their male appendages and really have no intention of ever transitioning , in my opinion, can Never be considered as women. If you have a penis in your pants you are a man.
Predatory males who use self-I’d to prey on women and children , and or to be allowed in to women’s safe spaces or prisons or rape crisis centres are the people Women Won’t Wheesht are campaigning against.
We are fundamentally against casual self-I’d, and particularly against complete men using self-I’d for their own fantasist or fetishist ideas or to prey on women and children.
Let’s get sex put back on the menu.
Gender exists in your head .
Sex is immediately identifiable.
What is the first question a new parent asks? Is it a boy or is it a girl.
We don’t have to wait for them to figure it out by themselves.
